T-Mobile US was selected as the official telecommunications services provider for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, tasked with delivering 5G-powered connectivity services to support operations and broadcasts.
T-Mobile for Business will use its 5G-Advanced network to provide connectivity to competition and non-competition venues.
It will also connect more than 15,000 staff with push-to-talk services, and offer secure voice lines with its recently announced SuperMobile service for essential personnel.
SuperMobile includes network slicing for businesses, built-in security and satellite connectivity through its partnership with Starlink.

In addition, T-Mobile’s infrastructure will also support point-of-sale systems and ticketing through its network slicing technology.
The operator will provide secure, low-latency connections between the International Broadcast Centre, which will be the central hub for broadcast operations, and competition venues.
T-Mobile 5G will support the host broadcaster of the games, Olympic Broadcasting Services, as it connects to more than 100 broadcasters from all over the world covering the sporting events for global audiences.
“This is going to be the most tech-forward production of the Games in modern history,” stated T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert on LinkedIn.
