The GSMA teamed with telecom software company NetLync to launch a cloud-based entitlements platform to simplify device feature activation and reduce integration time for mobile operators.
GSMA Entitlements enables MNOs and MVNOs to rapidly deploy features including eSIM transfer, satellite messaging, VoWi-Fi, cross-platform RCS and companion device support across Android and iOS devices.
The industry association noted leading device makers including Google, Samsung and Apple now require entitlement servers to ensure full compatibility with the latest GSMA specifications, and to enable features and platform-specific tools such as eSIM, 5G services and iMessage authentication.
As a result, activating features across different devices traditionally requires custom-built infrastructure and lengthy development work.
The GSMA stated the programme addresses these challenges by offering operators a unified platform with advanced AI APIs and reporting to manage feature activation, authenticate users and coordinate with device makers across Android and iOS.

“Our platform removes the integration burden, shortens deployment times and helps operators of all sizes deliver seamless experiences across devices and operating systems,” GSMA Services GM Sianne Ryder explained.
NetLync CEO Emir Aboulhosn noted the offering is “the industry’s first true Entitlements-as-a-Service platform, built from the ground up for speed, transparency and agility”.
The platform complies with the GSMA TS.43 service entitlement configuration and other OEM specifications, and complements existing systems to provide operators a low-risk upgrade path.
The GSMA noted several operators which trialled the platform integrated it into OSS/BSS environments in less than a month using up to three developers.
