US-based managed services provider MetTel partnered with cybersecurity vendor Check Point Software Technologies to create a mobile threat defence offering for enterprises.

MetTel’s managed mobile threat defence platform provides protection against mobile cyber threats by ensuring secure access to corporate data without compromising user experience or privacy.

A representative for MetTel told Mobile World Live the two companies developed the service for 12 months to ensure scalability, ease of deployment and real-time threat visibility.

The companies stated it delivers end-to-end protection across all mobile attack vectors, including apps, files, networks and operating systems.

It employs static and dynamic threat analysis to detect known and unknown threats, blocks infected devices, and prevents “man-in-the-middle” attacks.

Mobile threat defence is designed to support all major operating systems and mobile devices.

“This broad compatibility ensures that enterprises can enforce consistent security policies across their entire mobile fleet, regardless of user device preference or platform diversity,” according to the representative.

It automatically detects and mitigates suspicious mobile activity using threat analysis and finds and alleviates suspicious mobile activity.

A mobile gateway and dashboard offer centralised management, provisioning and monitoring of devices, policies and alerts through the Check Point Infinity Portal.

Lastly, it uses Check Point’s threatcloud AI intelligence to provide real-time, global threat intelligence to enable anti-phishing, safe browsing and anti-bot technologies.
