KT forged a deal to support US-based CrewAI’s expansion in Asia, with the operator securing exclusive rights to market the start-up’s AI agent platform in South Korea and Vietnam.

The pair will jointly develop customised products and design plans suited for each target market’s AI transformation progress.

They plan to explore ways to integrate KT’s AI models and cloud services with the CrewAI platform, while also looking to expand it into other markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

KT CEO Kim Young-shub stated it will work with CrewAI to strengthen its ability to implement agentic AI and accelerate innovation across the industry, while CrewAI CEO Joao Moura said through its collaboration with KT, it will “actively support enterprises to quickly build, deploy and scale agents reliably and efficiently”.

The operator will handle localisation, integration and commercialisation. CrewAI will be responsible for technical support and training.

The companies also plan to release a white label version, offering the CrewAI platform under a local brand, as well as an on-premise version for customers facing regulatory barriers to cloud access.

A joint release stated CrewAI’s multi-agent orchestration platform enables AI agents to work together as a team.
