Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (pictured) was reportedly tipped to join US President Donald Trump on a state visit to the UK next week, which may lead to national investments and corporate deals.

Sky News reported OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, private equity company Blackstone Group CEO Steven Schwarzman and asset management company BlackRock CEO Larry Fink will also accompany President Trump on his second state visit to the UK.

The news outlet reported the tech and industry giants are due to attend a state banquet.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is also on the invite list.

Huang was unable to attend a dinner held by President Trump on 4 September which included Cook, Altman and Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Sky News reported.

Last month, Nvidia and AMD reached an agreement with the US government to restart sales of their AI chips to China.

Chinese authorities are pushing tech companies to avoid US chips and buy local alternatives, which led to Nvidia ordering some of its suppliers to halt production work related to its H20 chip.

CNBC reported Huang met with President Trump twice over the past several months to iron out export waivers for its H20 chip in China.

The news outlet reported in August Nvidia noted details about the agreement for the Trump administration to take a 15 per cent cut from chip sales in China were not final.

President Trump is awaiting a Supreme Court decision on a lower court’s ruling most of his wide-ranging trade tariffs are illegal.
