Accenture and Qatar Airways want to send the airline industry for a loop with a package of AI systems targeting improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency.
The professional services company expects a collaboration with the airline to revolutionise the aviation sector. Qatar Airways established AI Skyways as a platform for the pair’s AI developments domestically and abroad.
Accenture states AI Skyways will be the foundation of responsible AI use by Qatar Airways, along with covering elements including data and platform offerings to optimise flight schedules, maintenance and customer interactions.
Their work will also taxi Qatar Airways into a position to capitalise on future uses of AI in the aviation sector, Accenture stated.

The airline’s CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer (pictured, right) said the deal advances goals around AI leadership and delivering a seamless travel experience to its customers.
“Furthermore, the partnership will focus on using AI for real-time data analysis to improve decision-making capabilities and operational responses.”
Accenture explained Qatar Airways’ digital first ambitions would benefit from their work. Chair and CEO Julie Sweet (pictured, left) said AI Skyways is a “key engine” of the companies’ ambitions to deliver “new value for the airline and its customers”.
