KT’s board named the former head of its enterprise unit Park Yoon-young as the replacement for CEO Kim Young-shub when his terms ends in early March 2026, as the South Korean operator moves to restore internal and external trust following a data breach.
Chair Kim Yong-hun stated Park “is the right person to establish a foundation for sustainable growth under a new management vision”, and drive change and innovation.
Park joined the operator in 1991 and left in 2020 as an EVP.
His appointment requires approval at a regular shareholders’ meeting.
